Homeopathic Soul and Spirit

There is something I would like to say about what I think happens when a remedy is being made.  As we raise the potency of the remedy, we are tapping into information that is held by the substance. This is information that we can gather if we pay attention and move our focus beyond the ordinary.  I have seen this over many years of making remedies

I have been very fortunate to have experienced the making of many remedies. In the early 80’s I was part of the team that handmade remedies in preparation for the opening of Helios Pharmacy, UK. Because I had learned how to do this, I made by hand all the remedies on which I did proofings. Eventually I encouraged the proofers themselves to do the dilutions and succussions before the proofing took place.  This of course can only be done if you are doing group or an enhanced proofings. (for more about enhanced proofings see Chapter 6 of Gifts of The Mother).  The creation of a remedy and being in touch with the increasing potency as the soul and spirit are released, gave me a much deeper understanding of the potential of homeopathic remedies.

This experience has led me to see how both soul and spirit are raised in the remedy. As the one drop falls from the previous potency into the next it carries information from its past experience.  This information for me is Soul.  As we succuss the remedy we are enlivening it with energy which I think of as Spirit.  It has taken me years of making remedies to understand this difference between Soul, and Spirit. Now I have come to understand them as Information and Energy. The Soul holds the memory, or the past history, and the Spirit animates it as it becomes dynamic.

Two Harmony Blends

As promised in the last newsletter I am going to tell you about two Harmony Blends made from Greek trees and flowers.

Dream Catcher

Essences of Red Poppy, Almond Amber, Dragon Lily, Blue Pimpernel Oak’s Mushroom and Valonia Oak.

This is a remedy that has helped some of my clients get in touch with what was behind their entrenched patterns. This of course helped me find more appropriate remedies. In dreams our guardian spirits reveal things to us that they would like us to know.  In our complex and busy lives we cannot retain the messages, we become puzzled by them and do not recognize their meaning.  We wake to our daily chaos and quickly forget what we might have learned from them.

The Valonia Oak and her Mushroom are joined here by the Blue Pimpernel, Red Poppy and the amber sap of the Almond Tree. Together they help your right brain communicate your dreams to your left brain so you can remember and learn from them.  The Dragon Lily frees the magic within your dreams, firing awareness of their messages. The mushroom is very powerful in giving us clear insight so the interpretation does not get all “logiced up”.

Take 6-8 drops as you go to sleep.  Continue for at least two weeks to get the best results.  Keep a tape recorder next to your bed to record your dreams as you wake or write them in a dream diary.

Fuss Not

Essences of Yellow Horned Poppy, Hollyhock, Pulsatilla, Squirting Cucumber, Sun Rose, Olive, Broom.

This essence is wonderful when you have a project or a scheme or maybe even a dream but you cannot accomplish it because you have become bogged down in the details, or you are making mountains out of molehills.  Perhaps you are not always a perfectionist or a ‘nit picker’ but lately you cannot stand anything out of order.  Somehow you have come to the stage where you cannot move ahead unless all things are in order.  Perhaps Virgo is making herself known in your chart? This is the same essence I use in my Astrology/StarShine set for Virgo.

In this one I thought it might be fun to give you a background on each flower to let you see why it was choosen.

Yellow Horned Poppy (Glaucium flavium)
These plants are defiantly untidy.  They spread their stems higgledy-piggledy in all directions and they grow in messy patterns mainly in poor sandy soil.

“Our message is that you can learn to relax and become creative in chaos. We help you see beyond the details into the bigger more divers picture.  We shake loose your rigid parts. In this way you can let go of a perfection you may never achieve.”

Wild Mountain Hollyhock
This is a knowledge nourisher. Recognising the physical self as a place of wisdom. It is the belly button remedy. Navel connection, maternal wisdom and knowledge passed through the umbilical to the bellybutton, from each generation of mothers.  Nourishment, nourishing knowledge, not from souls but from bodies, physical, bone wisdom, body wisdom in skin, organs, eyes, heart, fingers, the wisdom and knowledge of generations passed from an ancestor crone who lived before the before time.  The one who knew all the things we need to know.

Pulsatilla (Pulsatilla nigricans)
Made on the winter solstice 2002, night after full moon, with minus 6 degrees centigrade (21 F), during the night before.  Collected at sunrise as they stood up tall in the early morning light in the meadow in front of my house.  It was astonishing as they opened through that frosty crystal morning. As they floated in the water of the glass bowl their colour was almost neon like, or translucent in the winter sunlight, which made 18 degrees (64 F) of warmth at midday. They were left in the sun until the last rays set behind the sea.

“I am for those moments when you think you will fall over, those moments when you become small. I will help you to stand up tall, where so you can see beyond the obstacles in front of you.”

Squirting Cucumber (Ecballium elaterium)
The seed pods and the flowers tend to be on the plant at the same time. This nervous little plants seed pods  shoot off with surprising explosiveness when you get near to them. I have always thought of them as having a temper tantrum whenever I got too near.  But learning about the essence taught me to look deeper. It told me that it is OK to share your potential and not always keep it hidden in case someone might think you unworthy or stupid. Of course this is a much more positive way of looking at their doctrine of signatures.  They explode as a way of spreading their seed.

This essence therefore helps in letting others share in your potential.

Sun Rose  - Helianthemum (Also called rock rose)
It is astonishing to see these delicate ruffled flowers blooming on harsh barren rocky outcrops. Sun Rose is for people who are anxious about time running out.

“We grow in rocks because we don’t need the earth to feed us, we get our energy from the sun.  The sun is a clock, a rhythm so strong in us.  We are about the beginning of the day, dawns early light, dawns yawning awakening and sun’s vibrant setting.  Our rose colours can be seen in the sky as the sun rises and sets. We bring a trust in the daily rhythms and the knowledge that there will be a tomorrow. We bring  trust in the cycles of things.  Sun rose is sun rise.  Sun in my heart.  Allows your body and soul to flow with its natural rhythms.  We can help you into a state of self-synchronicity flowing with the passing of time."

Olive
As you read in the June newsletter about this tree you can see how helpful it would be in this harmony blend. Setting new patterns or pathways in the brain, can lead to a new kind of flexibility.

Broom (Spartium junceum)
This flower is a stress reducer of great magnitude.  Her essence is a soother for pressured blood, and dissolves adrenal angst.  This bright yellow shrub is like a beacon across the landscape, saying “sega, sega”, or slowly, slowly in Greek.

Interview with Melissa

This past July I was interviewed by Alan Schmukler for the online magazine, HPathy Ezine.  You'll learn a bit about how I discovered homeopathy, and even read my poem to Sepia.  Click Here to read the online interview.
